Manu events are focused on the theme of being all around the world. 

We welcome visitors of all ages, from babies to the elederly!

We have some events focusing on high school students aspiring to get into this university.

Let’s Try Folk Costumes☆

GAIGOSAI Traveller: A stamp collection rally taking you around the campus. The stamps feature things from places around the world, so you’ll be able to enjoy various sights around TUFS and the world at the same time. Also, we have prizes for those who complete the rally!  

 

TUFS Whale’s Postal Service: An activity where you can exchange messages with other guests. Write on the provided postcards we’ve collected from across the world, write a message that someone else will read, and receive one yourself.  

Information Pamphlet for Applicants “TUFS Manual”: Written for high school students  applying to TUFS with information covering everything from entrance exams to life at TUFS. It’s free, so current high school schoolers or applicants – don’t miss out.

Dance Festival: Watch performances by various dance groups from TUFS at classroom 101. Enjoy dances of different styles from all over the world and see some of the activities that TUFS students take part in up close! 

TUFS Wonderland: An activity for young children (2nd grade primary schoolers and below). In store are games and toys with the theme of “the world”, parents can take part alongside their children too!  

Omikuji: The Japanese tradition of fortune slips but with a TUFS twist. Written on them are proverbs and sayings from cultures across the world. We have ema prepared too for the full Omikuji experience!  

 

Let’s Try Folk Costumes☆: Try on different folk costumes from around the world and take photos in them. Extremely popular with long queues every year!  

 

Smiling Faces of the World-Face Painting: Have national flags of different countries painted on your hand. Due to covid, we are not painting faces but it’s still bound to bring a smile to your lips.

TUFS Candy Truck: Buy sweets imported from all over the world. The shop is located in Galleria. We’re excited to hold this at GAIGOSAI for the first time in person!  

 

Prof. Words of the World: Have your name written in languages that doesn’t use latin alphabets. Come have chat with GAIGOSAI planning members as you get your name written in languages you might be unfamiliar with!  

 
 
 

TUFS Picturebook Club: Second and third year TUFS students will read aloud picture books in different languages and explain deeply about the region and languages the picture books are written in. Lectures are estimated 30 minutes. This activity is popular every year, it’s very TUFS. 

 

TUFSpeak: A symposium where you can hear about how currently enrolled students studied for the entrance exams, their lives here at TUFS, during overseas exchanges as well as in TUFS’ clubs and circles. Students from all backgrounds in TUFS will be speaking!  

Support for TUFS Applicants: Come get study tips for the entrance exams and hear about what life at TUFS is like and the opportunities for going on overseas exchange. We’ll be taking questions about the entrance process and post-graduation as well. Applicants to-be and parents welcome!

Fireworks: Set to go off as the finale of the finale. It might just be especially spectacular this year to celebrate the 100th GAIGOSAI!  

 

Finale: Commemorating all the hard work put into holding these five days of GAIGOSAI. Hear the results of the TUFS Lottery voting contest and a speech from the president of our university!

 

TUFS Lotto: Vote towards for your favourite activities and food stores at GAIGOSAI and take part in a lottery you’re guaranteed to win a prize! If you fill out our questionnaire, you get another random prize!
